Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of China-Thailand Diplomatic Relations

On June 25, a concert, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu, was held at the Chongqing Guotai Arts Center. Li Mingquan, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and Sake Nopthaisong, Consul-General of Royal Thai in Chengdu, attended and delivered speeches.

To enhance mutual understanding and friendship among the younger generation and vividly showcase the dynamic China-Thailand relationship, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu also organized an essay competition themed “China-Thailand 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations” at universities in Chongqing and Chengdu. Awards were presented to the winning students during the concert.

At the concert, the Music Club of the Mahidol University, the Dance Troupe of the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Chongqing Municipal Dance Drama and Opera Theatre, and the Art Performance Troupe of the Chongqing Normal University presented a variety of captivating performances, including “If You Love Him,” “The Moon Represents My Heart,” and “Yi Ethnic Dance.”
